This shotgun stand is built for the serious amateur gun dog trainer and the professional gun dog trainer.
Named after my hunting dogs, Remington and Comanche, R&C Shotgun Stands were created to organize all your training gear while in the field. As an avid waterfowl hunting and serious amateur trainer, I understand the importance of this tool. We've partnered with professional trainers and now they can't train without it.
Historically, I applied the lessons learned from Remington to Comanche and I realized I was missing a fundamental field tool. Simply, a shotgun stand that would hold the shotgun and all the training gear, while working the dog. Thus, R&C Shotgun Stands was born.
As an added bonus the stand can be used for other platforms including but not limited to: Retriever training, Retriever Field Trials, Retriever Hunt Tests and Gun Ranges. Safe and effective use of this tool, enhances the gun dog training experience, one stand at a time.
Issue
There is a fundamental problem carrying a shotgun to the field for gun dog training. The issue is putting a shotgun on the ground is an inherent danger to the dog and to human. Additionally, training is very labor intensive and somewhat linear focused that the trainer can even forget about the shotgun in the field and end up losing it. Our shotgun stand remediates that concern and with style too. Also needed a way to organize the training gear and keep in one location while in the field.
Solution
The main purpose of the shotgun stand is to be a job aid in the field while working and training your gun dogs. It is meant to rest the shotgun on the stand, keeping it off the ground, in a secure position while working. The stand was created by me, Laura J Sparks, a serious amateur gun dog trainer, made for the professional gun dog trainer and tested by a professional gun trainer. It can also be use by professional outfitters that are dove hunting that allows their clients to shoot and safely rest the shotgun while working dogs retrieve the birds. Additional functionality with the shotgun rail and top rail to add cup holders, tray, extra bumpers, whistles gun dog remote, a bucket for empty shotgun shells and a rail to support your cell phone to film your gun dog in retriever action.

The model is built in three sections, shotgun footplate, stabilizing pole and top cross bar. R&C Shotgun Stands are 100% made in the USA, in fact, right here in the Lonestar State. Easily assembled via a 2-pin system for easy set up and transport. Constructed of 100% stainless steel spiked footplate, stabilizing pole and top cross bar.
